Kindergarten Round-Up is coming!
Northeast is working to offer both needs based and free all-day kindergarten to our students.   On April 10th at 6pm we will host our 2nd Kinder Round-up.   We will collect applications at kinder round-up for assessment for our needs based slots.   Our needs based slots will be prioritized by a needs assessment, applications will be processed by May 31st based on need (not first come first served).

We will also collect applications from families for our free all day program.   If we receive more applications then slots, we will hold a drawing to prioritize all the applications received at Kinder Round-up.   All applications will be priority ordered by date received.

For an application to be considered as “Received,” all required documents must be in school possession.   Required documents include birth certificate, shot records, proof of residence.
The "Ban Bossy" Campaign
The adjectives we apply to kids matter. They are labels filled with meaning that may or may not reflect a deeper reality.  Often the adjectives reflect hidden values.  Your lazy is my intelligent strategist.  I love the thinking here...I hope next time you see a little girl being bossy, you say, "You go girl; maybe someday you will be president."

Northeast IB Students Visit DIA
Our 6th grade students received a behind the scenes look at global transportation systems and learned how DIA is bringing every corner of the world right into Brighton. Since our advanced learners in 2nd through 6th grade were studying entrepreneurship, this field trip also proved to be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the businesses operating (especially those tied to agriculture) at DIA.
